Tawang is a town situated at an elevation of approximately 3,048 metres (10,000 ft) to the east of Bhutan. The area is administered by the Republic of India as a part of the Arunachal Pradesh state.

The town is located at 213m above sea level, 100 km from Bomdila, 52 km from Tezpur and 5 km from Tipi. It lies along the Kameng river and is the headquarters of Bhalukpung circle.

Aalo, formerly Along, is a census town and headquarter of the West Siang district of the Indian state  of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located about a day's drive 220 kilometres (140 mi) from Likabali.

Khonsa is the headquarters of Tirap district in the Indian state of   Arunachal Pradesh. It also houses one of the state school, viz. Ramakrishna Sarada Mission School.

Mechuka also known as Menchukha is a small town nestled 6,000 feet (1,829 m) above sea level in the Mechuka Valley in West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Nuranang Falls (also known as Bong Bong Falls), some 100 metres high, is located in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in this part of the country, yet is unknown to many travelers.

The seat of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the seat of government of Arunachal Pradesh and the seat of Gauhati High Court permanent bench at Naharlagun are all in Itanagar.

Anini is the headquarters of the Dibang Valley district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India. Anini was also the district headquarters of the undivided Dibang Valley district.

The Tirap district is located in the southeastern part of the state of   Arunachal Pradesh in India. It shares a state border with Nagaland and Assam, an international border with Myanmar.

The Gorichen (also Gori Chen or Gorichen II ) is a mountain in the Assam Himalayas in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh .

The glaciated mountain has a height of 6488 m. It is located in the district of Tawang - about a kilometer south of the border with Tibet.

Ziro is the census town in Lower Subansiri district in the Indian state

of Arunachal Pradesh. It has been a favourite town for World Heritage Site for a number of years now.

Roing is a district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley district in the Indian   state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the last major township at the north-eastern frontier of India.

Daporijo is a census town in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Dapo refers to "the protection" or "the barrier" against the epidemic or evil sprits and Rijo for "the valley".

The Sela Pass (more appropriately called Se La, as La means Pass) is a high-altitude mountain pass located on the border between the Tawang  \and  West Kameng Districts of Arunachal Pradesh state in India.

Situated at the eastern foothills of the Himalayas at 155 meters above mean sea level, Pasighat is Arunachal's oldest town.

Namdapha National Park is the largest protected area in the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot and is located in Arunachal Pradesh  in Northeast India. It is also the third largest national park in India (by area).

The Sangestar Tso Lake is also called as Madhuri Lake, which is located on the way from Tawang to Bum La Pass in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, near Indo-China border above 15,200 ft above sea level.
